The first members of the college class of 2028 are in! Here’s our breakdown of the early admissionrates for the class of 2028. We willcontinue updating this post as more information becomes available!
Early AdmissionTrends
Early application rounds have gained popularity in recent years with both colleges and applicants. More schools are offering more early admission rounds, with some even offering three (or even four!) opportunities to apply early with Early Action (EA), Early Decision (ED) I and II, and even “hidden” Early Decision III rounds. Admission rates in early pools tend to be higher, with a smaller pool of highly qualified applicantsindicating the school is their top-choice. Since colleges care about informed interest and yield rates, it’s important that these applicantsare sure to attend if applying in a binding round (ED), or more likely to enroll if admitted EA.
Early Admission Rates
So, how have these trends impacted college admissions rates? Some schools experience record-highapplication numbers, which can result inrecord-low acceptance rates at some of the most selective institutions.
