SYNOPSIS
A trough extends from central Florida to the YucatanPeninsula. The trough will gradually weaken through late today. ACentral American Gyre is forecast to develop over the next coupleof days. Environmental conditions appear conducive for a tropicalcyclone to develop from this broad area of low pressure, and atropical depression could form over the southwestern Gulf duringthe early or middle part of next week. Active convection, alongwith increasing winds and building seas are expected with thissystem.
