      I nolonger enjoy working out atthis club. Here's along list ofthings that used tobe inthe club and are now missing from the new renovation:

      spin bikes, decent and adjustable upright bikes with good programs, stair climbers, anarm bike, lateral cross country machine, assisted pull-up machine, boxes for jumping and step-ups, floor mats for stretching (there are two small ones), balance pads, foam rollers, TRX station, and norowing machines upstairs.

      In addition: the layout isterrible

      . Upstairs machines are too close together, and downstairs has ahuge open space that can beutilized inother ways. The upstairs area with barbells iscramped.

      It's sad that ittook this much time and money todesign such aninadequate space.

        Totally disappointing renovation. They essentially created aweight pumping gym geared toward young guys. Noplace tostretch oruse lighter free weights ifyou’re elderly. The mats are gone, which, bytheway, was apopular part ofthe floor. The upstairs has aweight area that’s just arepeat ofthe downstairs!! Will have tofind anew gym after coming here 15years.

          Gym isOK overall, and staff are typically friendly. Leaving anunfriendly note here due tomy awful experience attempting tocancel mymembership corresponding with mymove from the area. Memberships are typically month tomonth, and you should beable tocancel within 7business days ofmonth end for your membership the next month tobe canceled (this isstated inmembership agreements). Iattempted tocall the gym tocancel mymembership, and the woman operating the phone was quite rude and acted like Iwas crazy tothink that Ican call the gym tocancel mymembership for identity verification purposes… Whatever, she told meto either mail aletter orgo into the gym inperson. Idecided togo into the gym 2weeks before monthend. When Iwent, the guy working the front desk was very confused that Ihad come inperson tocancel mymembership, informing methat Ishould beable tocancel online orover the phone with noproblem… Different information from different people, but whatever, the guy was friendly and scanned mykey card and canceled mymembership onhis computer. Apparently, when hedid this onthe computer, something didn't gothrough correctly, and the system didn't cancel mymembership. Assuch, Iwas charged for the next month. Iwas onand off the phone with the gym and exchanged several emails with management trying tofigure out how tofix this issue. The long and short ofit was that they agreed and provided mewith confirmation that mymembership was canceled asof the day that Iintended. What they proceeded toignore was myrequest torefund mefor the month that Iwas incorrectly charged, even though Iattempted tofollow upseveral times. Ifthey weren't able togive mea refund, Iwould've been much less annoyed ifthey could just say that… Instead, Iwas ignored. Resultingly, Idecided todispute the charge with mybank, sowe'll see ifthe NYSC treasury department will take issue with that… Terrible customer service, and Iwill never join another NYSC again. Customer service, your job isprovide aservice for customers, you should start doing thatjob.– show

              Horrendous. They just got all new equipment and itworks just about aswell asthe treadmill mygrandmothers been saving since the80s.
              Management couldn’t solve aproblem iftheir lives depended onit & the typical response toa question isa disheartened shrug followed bya head scratch.

                All the good remodeling and nothings changed. Noplace toproperly stretch. Water fountain doesn’t work. Ijust went for aworkout at3PM onSaturday and there are notowels available Itold the front desk and hesaid hewas the only person available soI’d have towait.

                      After putting mymembership onhold, Icontinued toget billed. Iconsistently asked tostop the billing and toget mymoney back and ittook amonth todoso. Then, when Iwas nolonger going tocome back toNYSC because Imoved, Icanceled mymembership and STILL got billed. Icalled and they told methat although there was anote inmy account that stated Icanceled the membership inAugust, ithad never been implemented and that there was nothing they could dosince itwas already September.On the phone, the representative admitted that they had anote inmy account tocancel the membership but they “forgot todo so” but now itwas too late toso anything soI was stuck paying forit. After fighting them onthis, they then proceeded totell methat the only way Icould cancel and get mymoney back was tocome inand talk tothe manager but Ihad MOVED (hence why Icanceled the membership) soI was not able tocomein. Since this was acorporate membership, Icontacted HRat mycompany and they were able tohaggle with NYSC toget memy money back. Not only will Inever goto this chain ofgyms again, but mycompany islikely dropping them due tothe lack ofprofessionalism and respect given tome and the company. Itis preposterous toacknowledge that you forgot tocancel mymembership but tosay that unfortunately the only path forward isfor metopay. And when Itold them Imoved they DID NOT CARE that itmeant Icould not come inand they acted like itwas myresponsibility totravel toanother state totalk tothem inperson and otherwise Iwas consenting for them todeduct the membership from mybank account each month. Iwholeheartedly refuse toever goto aTSI sports gym again and would NEVER allow afriend togo here. Asfor myemployer, they are considering droppingTSI, also, given the abhorrent treatment.
                      UPDATE: Iwas given anemail below tocontact about the issue. Unsurprisingly, noone answered myemail. This company prides themselves onlack ofcommunication sothey can blame the customer and take the money. Iam only further convinced that cancelling mymembership toNSYC and getting myfriends tocancel their membership ornot join was agreat choice.

                        I joined this gym inFeb. byphone, the gym staff said mymonthly fee was $49with afree month starting. Iwas told this would bethe set fee until Iquit thegym. However, they charged me$78.36. When Iasked about the charge, the staff told methe contract said the fee was $74. Iliked this gym until this incident. Iwonder why this has happened and why they won't return mymoney.

When you joined, you were enrolled into our standard priced neighborhood membership (one club) for $74.99per month (plus applicable tax). There was acredit applied bya former club manager that discounted orpaid for multiple months ofyour membership. Wedo not sell oroffer the pricing of$45atthat location. Iknow our Regional Manager has been intouchand explained your billing. Ifyou can advise why the pricing was offered wecan look into this further.                             Gym was only partially operational asthey are inthe middle ofa massive remodel due tobe completed Oct 14th. Until then, one isbetter off hitting their 73rd street location.

                                I referred abrand new member who Itrain tojoin afew months afterme. She received the $47rate (had never been amember), Iexplained we'd both leave ifI don't get the same rate, they assured methis change would happen, for 2months Ireminded the front desk and emailed management because “they forgot”, “corporate pushed back”, “manager wasn't intoday”. Then they paused mymembership for 2months tomake upfor their error. Now it's back at~$75, the “new manager” doesn't have the abilityto honor what I've been told for 4months, and the gym isstill adump, weights are usually left lying onthe floor, floor never get cleaned, whatever touches the floor issmudged black, half the barbells leave rust stains. You would think they'd learn how toclean seeing all the Blink gyms are capable ofit and only charge $30.– show

                                  These gym isspacious covering the ground floor and asecond floor. The entire space just underwent arenovation with the installation ofnew cardio equipment and the renovation ofthe saunas and locker room facilities.
                                  You don't need tobring your own lock anymore aseach locker has apassword protected mechanism that allows you tolock your belongings every time.

                                    They charged mea monthly$ 30extra. The front desk people accepted the mistake but never returned the amount even after asking multiple times. People sitting atthe front desk are not helpful atall and the gym overall isnot well maintained.

                                      Decentgym. Wasn’t packed. Seems old and worn. Small variety ofweights and equipment needs anupdate. Sauna and steam room doesn’t work.
